Do frequent ejaculations help prevent prostate cancer?
Prostate cancer is something to take seriously. Push past all the jokes about awkward trips to the doctor and there is the unfortunate reality that around 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
There is not a lot of evidence as to what causes prostate cancer, but a study by the world renowned Harvard Medical School has suggested a particularly fun way to dramatically reduce your chances of developing prostate cancer. In what is great news for sexually active men everywhere, Harvard’s study suggests that more frequent ejaculations can reduce the risk of prostate cancer by up to a third.
According to the study, the magic number is 21. Men who reported enjoying 21 or more orgasms a month were found to have a 33% lower risk of developing prostate cancer than those that only ejaculated 4 to 7 times a month during their lifetimes.
The Harvard study is by no means the only evidence suggesting that frequent orgasms are good for you. An Australian study on the same question came to similar conclusions. The study found that men having between 4.6 and 7 ejaculations a week were 36% less likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer before the age of 70 than those who ejaculated less than 2.3 times a week.
Research is still being conducted into why frequent ejaculations lead to this reduced risk of prostate cancer. The initial theory is that ejaculations empty the prostate of potentially harmful substances. Nexus prostate massagers have been especially designed to provide intense stimulation directly to the prostate. This not only feels great, but leads to much more powerful orgasms and ejaculations.
The Nexus Revo Intense is a great toy for more experienced prostate players. Its unique shape is designed with the male form in mind and ‘locks’ directly onto the prostate for unparalleled stimulation. Nexus’ unique rotating mechanism then massages the prostate, ‘milking’ it to a powerful orgasm. Not only is using a prostate massager extremely pleasurable, but by stimulating the prostate directly, more fluid is released and therefore created, circulation is increased and the prostate is cleansed.
A reduced risk of prostate cancer is not the only health benefits that ejaculation, and in particular, prostate massage has been linked with. Illnesses such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and prostatitis can cause much discomfort and other studies have found that natural remedies such as prostate massage can reduce the chances of developing these illnesses, as well as reducing symptoms without the need for intrusive treatments.
Prostate massage is not just something to do alone when masturbating. The Nexus Revo Stealth is perfect for playing with a partner, thanks to its sleek remote control that can be used from up to 8 metres away. If you have never tried prostate massage but want to experience the intense orgasms and health benefits it can bring, we have a great selection of prostate massagers for beginners.
The Australian study found that the benefits of frequent ejaculations exist regardless of whether they were the result of masturbation, partnered sex, or even sleep emmissions. The study also found no link between the number of sexual partners and an increase or decrease in the risk of prostate cancer. So regardless of how you achieve them, start having more ejaculations today for a healthier prostate.
